1. How long have you been in the plumbing industry and how/why did you get started in it?
When I was 19 years old I worked at the Amarillo Airport hanging red iron and my friend ask me if I wanted to work for him on the weekends doing plumbing. From there, I fell in love with plumbing and have never left the industry. I enjoy being able to help customers solve their plumbing issues.
2. What prompted you to start your own business?
After many years of being in plumbing and working for different companies I wanted to use the knowledge I gained to start my own business. Customer satisfaction, integrity, and being dependable became the foundation of Eric’s Plumbing Services, and why we think we’re on the way to becoming the best plumber in marble falls.
3. What’s the most rewarding part of being a small business owner?
The most rewarding part is being able to help customers and create jobs for the community we live in. Also, we believe in giving back to the community to inspire others. For instance, we sponsored The Boys and Girls Club Valentine’s day dance and it was fun seeing all the kids having a great time dancing, playing games and enjoying great food!
4. What’s the most challenging part of being a small business owner?
The most challenging part is having to wear many hats as a business owner. Being in charge of the Marketing, Sales, and Operations takes a lot of work and discipline to manage our business efficiently.
5. What’s one piece of advice you can offer to others considering starting their own business?
My advice is to truly love what you do. If your passionate and have a purpose other than making money you will be successful. I’m proud to be a member of this community and be able to call myself a Marble Falls Plumber.
